Casey, Class of 2010

Meet my niece, Casey, who I affectionately call "Niecy". Casey was 6 when she was the flowergirl at my wedding and well . . . I don't know what in the world they are doing letting her graduate from high school!!! She's wayyyy too young, uh . . . , isn't she? I can't believe she is going away to college! Sigh . . . time flies!

I LOVE my niece and have been excited all year to do her senior shoot! I knew she'd rock it and she did! Casey, I am speechless. Well, okay, not really. (I always have a little somethin' to say!) So I will say these 3 things:

1. The camera loves you.
2. Your eyes mesmerize me.
3. My brother is going to flip at how mature you look in those last desert pics! (Sorry, Todd, not my fault she's so gorgeous!)

andddddddd let's just add one little thing: 4. COLLEGE BOYS, STAY. AWAY. (Her dad is a hunter and has LOTS of guns!)

Casey's sister, was an AMAZING assistant! She came along for our entire shoot and helped with reflectors, wardrobe, all that. Thank you, Brit! You are a blast and I can't wait to do YOUR senior photos!

Love you, girls! Mwaaaaah!

Kelly, Class of 2010

What a whirlwind! Kelly had lots of ideas for wardrobe for her senior shoot and I had lots of ideas for locations sooooo . . . we decided to go for it! We had a blast! Our favorite background ended up being a total gift! ...

We were driving around looking for the perfect place to shoot her in her boots and cowboy hat and my jaw about dropped to my ankles when right there before us was this sweet old Chevy truck! And black no less! AND then the guy who owned it walked out and promptly gave us permission to use it! While I was shooting, I was so giddy I kept laughing when I checked my shots in the LCD panel. Poor Kelly asked, "Uh . . . are they okay???" I quickly corrected her thinking and apologized and told her I just laugh when I get excited I guess! haha. They turned out A-MA-ZING! Way to work it, Kelly! I adore all 3 of these first shots! She looks like she should on a CD cover!

Rockin' the red door!!!!

I was so excited for all of the color we found!

Supermodels beware . . . here comes the competition! Amazing work Kelly!

Congratulations on your senior year, Kelly! I am so glad you asked me to do your senior photos!

Mandie, Class of 2010

Mandie was my first senior shoot for the Class of '10 and I was thrilled to get going with seniors again! Finding cool places to shoot seniors is one of my favorite things! Mandie's shoot went by so quickly because she was so easy to work with and we just had a good time with it. I've known Mandie for 6 years or so now and I was honored that she asked me to do her senior photos. Enjoy your sneak peak, Mandie. There are tons more!

I *LOVE* this first one. Mandie is so laid back and cool. Nothing flusters this girl and from the beginning of the photo shoot, she was as comfortable as you can imagine. I told her most people take some time to get comfortable in front of the camera so not to let that bother her, but NOT her! Seriously. Impressed.

Mandie, you are so beautiful! Great color choices for your outfits!

I adore this next shot. The expression on her face is so indicative of who Mandie is as a person- calm, cool, collected, even-keeled, happy, content. . . I LOVE IT!

Oh my goodness, she's just so pretty!

We chased down the last little bit of light as the sun was setting and we shot like crazy! Mandie kept her smile going and going and going- all the time looking completely natural! I was very impressed. Here is one gorgeous shot from that set.

Congratulations, Mandie, on your senior year! I am excited for you and all that the future has for you.

Casey's Senior Wrap-up

Just a few more samples of the remaining shots I've been working on. Casey, you are extremely photogenic and I'm thinkin' you made it hard for your mom to choose! It was great working with you!

I loved working with this next one! The shadow effect looks super cool with the bluish B&W color tone.

These next two look so great antiqued and dirtied up!
